Firmly rub each side of meat, fish, fruit, or vegetable with the Rub, then leave for at least 15 minutes before cooking. Brush off any excess Rub before grilling or roasting.  For a more intense flavor, place the rubbed meat or fish in a plastic bag and leave in the fridge overnight to cook the next day.

You can also add the Rub to vegetable oil, yogurt, or butter to make a wet Rub to help it apply better.

For non-meat suggestions, we recommend applying a wet Rub to potatoes, sweet potatoes, mushrooms, and pineapples.

Cacao nibs are from the cacao bean, which is the plant used to make chocolate.  They are packed with antioxidants and a variety of nutrients.  Use nibs in oatmeal, savory salads, fruit salads, smoothies, ice cream, soft cheese, or hummus.  Suggested serving is 2 teaspoons (6 g).

Puja's inspiration: Many years ago, my significant other and I traveled to Venice, Italy in December. In the frigid temperatures on a late night, few establishments were open, but we came upon one that was.  The shopkeeper offered us hot drinking chocolate that warmed us to the core and changed us forever. It was made of milk, heavy cream, and real chocolate - not cocoa powder.  It was so thick we needed a spoon to finish it.  This blend of dark chocolate shavings recreates the drinking chocolate that we'll never forget.

Consume within six months.

For each 4 ounces of milk, use 1 ounce of chocolate. Warm milk in a heavy-bottomed saucepan, then whisk chocolate into milk, stirring until all chocolate has melted. For a luxuriously rich experience, use 2 ounces of chocolate.  Optional: Sprinkle with your favorite spice; top with marshmallows; or add a dash of liqueur.

Iced:  Use 2 ounces of milk instead, and after whisking chocolate into milk, pour over ice.
